Animal & Gun Policy
Effective 9/01/07 Retail pet sales are prohibited. Adoption fees less-than $100 are permissible. Guns sales strictly prohibited.


WYS recognizes the need to charge reasonable adoption fees for animals to help ensure a good home. Adoption fees of $100 or less are fine.

If you list a pet for adoption that is greater than $100 then it will be considered a RETAIL sale and will be flagged by members and removed.

The change in gun listings is to protect everyone. There are too many local/state/federal laws regulating gun sales and WYS would prefer to error on the side of caution than to allow a member to be arrested for accidently breaking a law.
